Brass door handles (internal): cleaning tips

Brass door handles (internal).
Mine are grubby -- going slightly green in places!
Tips on cleaning, please.

they are probably lackerd so to clean them youve got to remove the lacker then keep polishing them

unless youve got lots of time on your hands and want to polish them ever week i would consider new handles

of course others may have more usefull help

I think I did mine with brown sauce then spray it with clear lacquer paint otherwise as big-all says you're forever polishing it.

and lets face it you don't want to be reguarly polishing your brass knobs!

Don't mind polishing the odd set of knockers though
