Hi I have just got back from the garage on a different issue and another thing they found is that I need a new break light switch as he said the one thats there at the mo is floppy, and basically what is happening is that the break light stays on, and to turn it off I have to use my foot when driving to pull the break up until it goes off.

Is replacing this something anybody can do, and if so where is it and what would I need to do to get it done.

First time on here so thank you before hand for hopefully helping me out.

Cheers

Don't know about your particular model but some brakelight switches are mounted at the top of the brake pedal and are adjustable to some degree. It does mean standing on your head in the footwell but might be worth a look first.

Sorry perhaps should have been a little clearer. I don't know about the C-Max but am aware that many cars do have the switch at the top of the brake pedal. You need to stick your head under there and take a look.

iirc on my old ford galaxy mk2 you could to some extent reset/adjust the plunger on the switch.
