hi,
I have a house built in 1925. The mortar beds are white in colour, I assume because of the lime based mortar of the time.
I want to block up a small window and have saved bricks from the removed chimney breast so they will match the existing.
What mix could I use to try and match the existing mortar colour rather than have cement grey ?

A yellow sand and white cement

Or yellow sand, normal cement and some lime
