mortar colour

Hi I'm after advice on getting a lime coloured mortar please with cement.
I have tried various coloured sands with grey cement but I arnt getting the colour I want.

We want a white creamy colour like lime, will white cement and yellow sand give the colour I'm after?
I have never used lime so wanted stay away from it.
I'm doing the chimney breast behind my stove and around the cooker where we have brick slips. Thanks

Have you experimented with Snowcrete? not cheap but pretty irrelevant if it's just a single chimney breast. Most merchants have some. http://www.tarmac.com/solutions/cement/snowcrete-packed/

No the price is the same as lime so doesn't bother me. I'm going get some in a bit I just wondered if people had expeience with it

Yes that will whiten it up. You can also add lime as a plasticiser to help the colour
