Hi,
We have a independent building in the garden which we are looking to make some alterations to.
Its made of a single brick, we are extending it by moving one of the wall slightly out. This new wall is a double skin cavity.
This wall will be 4.5 meters long and we want to install a large patio door. This wall is also going to carry the weight of the roof too.
The return off this wall will aslo have another large opening.
We need some advise on how to build this corner up.
The question we have is, should we build it with a pillar or will a cavity wall corner just wide enough to sit both lintels from both openings be ok
Your advice would be very much appreciated
