I have to use some engineering bricks as well as foundation blocks below ground level. The bricks will be used where i have a bridge over a drain, so will be using some lintels.

I have loads of spare bricks with large frogs in them. Can i use these instead of engineering bricks, or does it have to be engineering below ground level?

Cheers Woody. Do you know what depth lintel i would also need for my spans over the drains. I have two small spans of 250mm and 350mm open span and then a larger open span of 650mm. Would the small 65mm lintel me ok for these jobs or would i get in the deeper one which is about 140mm ? I am wanting to get these items ordered and struggling to get through to BC to answer my questions.

Got through to him and i can use the smaller 4 x 3" lintels.
