In France so you can return? I don't. And I don't know any vets that would fake vaccine certificates in the UK either, even if I did I wouldn't trust them near my dog. I'd probably report them if I found them.
The big deal isn't fishing, that's such a tiny part of our economy it's a rounding error. It's about the food export standards and checks. If I understand the announcements so far those are being relaxed. That's a huge win as implementing those checks has been kicked back again and again because the IT, infrastructure and people to do it simply don't exist and are almost impossible to get set up without rebuilding Dover.

I don't see much issue with us being a rule taker on food standards. But we are only "reducing" not removing.

You know what mbk was thinking when he claimed the EU do not want a better deal with the UK?
I would imagine that he meant the EU have gone as far as they are prepared to go with a third country who do not want to accept some of the EU's main principles, such as freedom of movement. They would give us more if we joined EEA etc.

There are clearly Brexit scars and of course the fundamental challenges of the EU still exist. It's a bunch of countries who cooperate in the hope of getting more for themselves.

That is why UK joined all those years ago.
And what's so wrong with that? It's better than going to war with each other.
I don't really care what we give away to get some sanity. As long as there are some adults from both sides around a table trying to unpick whatever bu11$hltting Boris desperately forced through, it can only be for the benefit of both parties.
