We've a Bristan Bliss 10.5kw electric shower, which has always tripped the electrics after roughly 10/15 minutes use.

If we were to replace this with another Bristan Bliss, would a 9.5kw be ok? Or would we need to think about a 8.5kw?

Cheers.

If what you linked to is actually what trips on your consumer unit ,it's 32 amp. And your 10.5 kwatt shower draws around 45amps at 230 volts. So your shower draws more current than the circuit can safely supply ,hence it trips on
Overload.
8.5 kwatt draws 36 amps roughly.
So you really need to upgrade the circuit
