or it seems it to me!

I have 2 problems, which may, or may not be linked.

1st, the pilot keeps going out, persumably the thermocouple, I`ll go get one tomorrow thats no biggie.

2nd one, the pilot relights no problem, and can stay lit for a few hours.
however when you turn the tap on, the pilot dies down.
if you turn the tap on slowly, the main burner kicks in with a good whoomph, an hey presto-hot water.

would my second problem be all part of the thermocouple,or possibly the diaphram?

First thing i would do is give the pilot assembly a thorough cleaning

are you a rgi :?:

no, I have a good friend who is, he has walked me through changing the thermocouples on both my boilers, and the diaphram on the brittony, unfortunatly he is on holiday for 2 weeks.

anything else I do will be checked when he services it in 3 weeks, unfortunatly we have a 4month old baby, so lack of hot water is an issue.
