Broadband down, who wins?

My broadband went down early hours of Tuesday morning and wasn't back up until early hours Friday morning, so three full days without it. Apparently my whole postcode area was affected.

That's the longest period of downtime I've experienced since first getting broadband, which was Telewest 512k over 20 years ago. Actually in all my years with Telewest then Virgin, the outages have been few and as far as I recall, never more than a day.

Question. What's the longest period of broadband downtime you've experienced, how long was it and who was the provider?

One of my student was watching dirty stuff online on the family pc, and suddenly the internet froze and nothing was happening. So he panicked and switched off the whole pc by cutting it's power.

His mom (after 3 days) was the next to switch the pc on, and when she opened the browser and clicked on the "restore pages" button, she was not too thrilled with what the browser presented.
