Broken Toilet - recognise this?

Our water saving toilet has broken. The part that connects to the "plug" has become weak and pulls off whenever pressure is applied rather than lifting the "plug" as intended. I've attached the pics.

Does anyone know if these parts are common?
The reason i ask is the toilet is made by a company called Shanpai who i've never heard of, nor can find any info on the web about. I'm wondering it you can get uniform parts from B&Q etc.

Looks like a "Flapper" valve; they sell spare flaps at screwfix.
