Don't put them in series. They will be very dim or may not work. Put them in parallel.

If it is fused at 6amp or less, 075mm 3core would be enough. Ebay will be quite expensive as a source for a longer length, try ringing a local electrical wholesaler for a price for the length you need or even a full 50m coil.

you can get a gold coloured cable normally used for table lamps etc that is sort of brown! or this company do brown

One can use what is called "Vinyl Dye" to dye most plastic items (a darker shade), including electric cable sheathing.
