I was taking off the kitchen skirting today and noticed that where the electric cable for a 2 gang socket goes up behind the wall there is a brown line on the painted wall all the way up where the cable goes into the socket. Is this normal, I can paint over it but wondered if it is anything to worry about. The socket has a double blanking plate and is never used.
