Browsing history can't delete

Hi all

For some reason I cannot delete my browsing history, I go into Control Panel - Internet Options - checkbox history, temporary folders and click delete, but nothing, even after restart.

Any advice would be truly appreciated.

Which Browser?
You don't need to go into Control Panel -> Internet Options


Firefox:
Key -> Ctrl+Shift+Del
Or Tools -> Clear Recent History
Then select Browsing History and Clear Now.

Internet Explorer:
Key -> Ctrl+Shift+Del
Or Tools -> Delete Browsing History
Then select History and Delete.

You could always try: tools/internet options/delete

Thanks for the replies, have tried your suggestions but still doesn't delete history or temp folders.

Did a disk clean up also ?

Download and install Ccleaner
When installing, watch out for the tick box that will install the Yahoo Toolbar if left ticked
Once installed, click Check For Updates (bottom right of the screen)

I was having a similar problem to this about 2 weeks ago. I ignored it for a while and now it deletes fine. The only thing I've done in that time is update Adobe Flash Plyer? Not sure if that was the fix or not though?

What I have heard is that you can move your temporary Internet files folder from it's current location to a different location. Then, later, move it back and this has been known to fix such problems.
