Hello All
My edwardian house has half suspended wooden floor and half qauary tiles.
The whole thing is being extended into the out building and this will mean a screed layer right abck to the wood.
the seperateion from wood to concrete is shown in the pic below with a white line.
I need to shorten the Wood floor length and make something for the joists to conenct to as currently they are all different lengths and sit on the floor.
How do i build a sleeper wall for the joists to be cut and sit on?
shoudl the wall be built and the joists put on the wall or should i build two peers and put a hefty peice of wood between for the joists to sit on?
i need to make sure there is minimal bounce also as it will be tiled in the long run.
Cheers
