Building a specialist tiered LP display rack...

Hi Folks,

hoping someone might have done this before! I've got to design/build a tiered rack for holding 12" LPs. I've got a picture below of roughly how it should look (exept it is to be built from wood & havve hidden storage space underneath).

I've got a rough idea of what I need (pic below), however I am unsure what is the best way of supporting the rack without infringing on the storage space below. Each little unit will hold approximately 60 records which is about 13kg....so if the unit was 4 units wide then each row would be carrying around 52kg....

...ideas appreciated as I'm no expert!!!

Underneath the bottom step,from your drawing run a timber say approx 3"x2" from right to left then tee off from the timber to support the 2nd step.
