Building blocks !!!!

Ok just wondered about this

I assume we all watch building programs ect
Well been watching some in france spain ect ( on the telly )

Breeze blocks here seem to be flat edged where as in france they seem to have ridges, so they can interlock

Just wondered if they are better and if they are why we don,t use them over here

you can't beat a good ol'e sand/cement mortar join.

there used to be an interlocking block used in the seventies that required no perp' joint. never used 'em myself.


i think they were of fly ash or 'cinderblock' construction.
