Built in shower - dot and dab wall

Hi all,

Have a plumber coming in a couple days to do the plumbing for our new bathroom, we’ve started to remove the tiles / plasterboard in preparation- the walls are all being reboarded later on too.

One possible problem is where the shower is going is actually a dot and dab wall and not a stud as we thought - is it still possible to bury the pipes into the wall as planned before but I guess with some slight cutting out for the shower outlet pipe?

Hire one of these wall chasers, especially for breeze bock, by feck was it quick, channeled the wall, floor to ceiling in 30 secs flat .... oh and a vac to make it practically dust free.
