You're right, I'm not confident about a switch that doesn't work properly, what a strange thing to say!
It's already changed.
I'm curious more than anything as to why and how this can happen.

I reckon it's time to open up the switch for internal examination.

maybe some pivot mechanism broke off inside, some switch mechs do weired things like have the icontacts move in the opposite direction to the switch rocker.
