As I said, animals know what is to come when they hear the cries of others. So I would prefer a situation where an animal is going about its business that it's known all its life and then - END!

Which is why some argue that slaughter on the farm where the animal has been reared is the most humane practice.

It should not be beyond the wit of 21st century mankind to do this, instead of barbaric and/or religious/sadistic practices!

It looks like you were implying that religious practices set out to be sadistic, which is obviously not the case.They didn't even set out to be cruel, which would have been a better word for you to use because it would not imply that religious practices are sadistic.
As has been said before, on this forum, the religious practice developed to prevent health problems caused by eating meat that had died a natural or unnatural death. (by unnatural, I mean some kind of accident, although I understand that it is allowed to slaughter animals that have been severely injured by acccident.)
The method of slaughter obviously did not develop to be sadisitc, or even cruel, and it is only by western, modern, even urban, standards that it is seen to be so. (I include "urban" because most rural dwellers grow up with slaughter of animals as routine.)
It is unfortunate that religions cannot evolve and develop as medical awareness develops, and the requirement laid down thousands of years ago no longer applies. This applies to western religions also.

As there is no criticism of western religions for some of their backward doctrines (to coin a phrase) on this forum, for instance, abortion, contraception, which could be seen as cruel to humans, never mind animals, one can only assume that some posters exploit the slaughter processes for their own agendas.

Edit: Additionally, to highlight the difference between bull fighting and slaughter: bull fighting is sadistic, slaughter might be cruel, in some cases.
So let's no longer confuse the two.

The subtle but obvious difference Norcon is that I insult the abusive bullies because of their abusive behaviour.
Not some general group of people because I happen to dislike them, as you and the other abusive bullies do.

I don't need to do anything for a living anymore.
But if you mean what do I do for self-gratification. I expose abusive bullies on GD foums.
Unfortunately, or fortunately, they do most of the work themselves.
So I'm not too pressured these days, leaving me with plenty of time to pursue my own leisure time enjoyments.
