Two things. I am in the process of decorating & would like to hide 1. The cable & 2. The bit where it was joined coming into the property.

Can i bury them, if yes best way?

This cable is not used at the moment.

The following is my view.

Firstly it looks you or someone had one of the latest OR/BT bodgers in ripping out the original jucntion box where the exrenal and internal cables meet; replacing that with 'jelly' IDC's - Bl**dY disgusting workmanship. Those IDC's should only be used in external connection points.

As you have moved over to FTTP working the wirring (working backwards) from the master socket to where the external cable comes into the house can be removed completely; cut the external cable off where it comes through the wall. If you can do it safely from the outside you could even pull it back out and cut off at an appropriate point and fill the hole.

Any wiring from the master socket to other sockets I'd leave in place as you may wish to have fiixed phones in the future and the majority of new routers support wired phones.

Most new routers support wireless DECT handsets, so no one will need any phone wiring in the house ever again.

Old-style voice-over-copper will be a dead duck soon.
However, FTTC is likely to live rather longer.

If you live in an area where openreach have built out their FTTP service then it's probablly irelevent, but if not then copper wiring could still be relavent.
