Hi all,
I bought a metal second hand light fitting (probably B&Q) and upon closer inspection, it seems the previous owner just cut off the 2nd Earth wire leaving a stubby useless end of wire. Any ideas on how to fix this and what the parts are called? Please see attached photos. No instructions or additional labels were given to me besides pictured.
Many thanks if you can help, I really do appreciate it.

Well you're missing a hook to go in the ceiling to hang it on, and that earth wire will need to be replaced, you'll need a crimp ring terminal for that.

However, if it were mine, I'd probably ditch the original mounting entirely and fit one of these. https://www.toolstation.com/ceiling-rose/p91561?searchstr=lewden ceiling
They make things much easier, because you fit one half of it to the ceiling, and you fit the other half to the light while it's still on the ground. Then you just slide the two together, no need to hold the light up in the air with your third hand while you wire it up with the other two.

Earth wire and one crimp ring terminal- thank you! That's ok, I'll just put a hook in the ceiling and I assume that's ok. The ceiling rose looks good, but it will have to match the antique brass finish of the light fitting and I don't want to spend even more now. Thank you!

If you ever fit one of Robins ceilings rose in the future you'll kick yoursef for not doing it now.
