Hi,
I'm looking to buy a car that the owner has had for 5 months and has not received the V5 from the DVLA. He has the green copy (section 10).
The HPI check has come back clear but I am concerned about parting with my cash as he is not the registered keeper.
He seems genuine and has given me the details for the previous owner (who I can't get hold of at the moment).
Am I right to be concerned? Are there any other checks I can make?
Thanks, Simon

give the dvla a ring with the reg no and ask them to check it out
