I've never had any issues with mk shaver outlets.
I have found this one which has mixed reviews: http://www.screwfix.com/p/mk-dual-voltage-shaver-socket-115-230v-white/55378[/QUOTE]
That is specified as a 'shavers only' one (it says so on the front), without the toothbrush symbol - which may or may not be a problem for you.
Kind Regards, John
There's certainly no toothbrush symbol (only a shaver one and "Shavers Only") on the picture in the Screwfix listing you linked to. However the technical data sheet for the MK K701 does show a toothbrush symbol on the front (and hence, obviously, no 'Shavers Only' marking) - so I'm all a bit confused!I noticed the toothbrush thing however it says in the reviews it's got a toothbrush on it which is why I was thinking it may have...
You may be right, but it's all rather confused/confusing. One major annoyance with MK is that they never seem to put dates on any of their documentation. I've now found this datasheet for the K701 which does not have a toothbrush symbol, but which does have "Shavers Only"! .... ( click here )Maybe it's just they never renewed the picture on the site.... I will ring them and confirm but from what the reviews say And what you have found I would think it's alright for the toothbrushes too.
As I said, I think the main problem is that there is MK documentation of all sorts of different vintages out there, but none seem to bear any dates! So they have two it seems? That is very confusing indeed. I think I will ring them up and ask and see what they say.... probably easier...
The piccie is not desparately clear, but see page 434 of THISSorry could you please post the tech sheet you found showing the toothbrush symbol for my reference when ringing screwfix?
You're welcome, and I'm glad that all seems well. Life would be so much easier if MK put dates on things, so we could work out which were the most recent! Thanks for that. I ordered it and called in as its on my way home from work and it's got a toothbrush symbol on it so the first link your found was correct it appears they have upgraded the model. So all is well just the pictures are of the old model.
