I would like to bypass the immobiliser on my '97 LandRover Defender 300TDi which was fitted when the clutch isolator MeckLock was fitted. Think it may be the cause of my intermittent starting problems - turn key get no starter motor activity at all - other times its just fine. The immob came with the MeckLock and was installed by a local chap who has sinced moved out of the area.

SO my question is given the below wiring diagram what is the easiest way of bypassing the immobiliser ?

I'm no auto-electrician but would imagine that disconnecting wires from terminals 87 and 30 from the relay and connecting them together would do the job ?

Yep, that would bypass the relay.
You could also restore the link between the ignition switch and the starter which appears to have been cut when the immobiliser was installed. If you do that, everything else is isolated.
