ok i will give it a go , this is all new to me so not to sure what to do, but thank you for your help.

Probably stalled after power cut with old battery , down power battery and mains re power up enter code to stop reconnect battery , box up and enter code # to reset.

Hi there, Thanks for your reply when you say down power the mains supply to the battrey, do you mean down power the supply for just the alarm, or down power the main supply to the house witch will turn every thing off, its just that i have dropped the power supply to the alarm system on the fuse board, and just wanted to make sure ?
many thanks for your time.

I have done that, the problem i have got when i set the alarm with my xxxx code it bleeps then a long tone as normal, then the ex speaker on the upstairs landing go's off not the alarm or the bell box out side, so i just put code back in and it will reset, then i do a full reset the code xxxx # , i can not find the user manual to see if there is a code to clear any faults, i also could not remember if the yellow day light on the key pad was ment to be on all the time or if that was the fault ? sorry to be a pain but thanks for time

Day light means unset , enter code keep still near keypad with all doors if any closed.... What lights are on the keypad ? Any faulty zones will be lit ...

Thank you for your reply, sorry mate i will have to check that tomorrow with the children being in bed now if thats ok. Thank you once again.

Hello again, right i have just tried to set the alarm, i put my xxxx code but i didn't get the bleep bleep tone or the long exit warning tone but the yellow day light went out and it must have been set because when i moved and broke the p-i-r the entrance waring tone started so i put my xxxx code in and it stopped as normal,

yet the other day when i tried it i got the bleep bleep tone followed by the exit warning tone as it should then but when that had finished the ex speaker on the up stairs landing went off, so it makes me think is there a fault system reset code other than the xxxx # in side the flap ?

Only way I can see that happening is if the PIR is set for final door set , check 7 options in engineer settings if you have the code or try part set code ---- *0 what happens or home set code----*8
