If you don't have 83.5 years (joking) in the electrical trade would it still be possible to pass an Inspection & Testing exam??
I have a few years house bashing, but no industrial experience, finding it difficult to get hooked up with any of the local companies for that.
Wondered if I would be more employable with I&T to my portfolio.

Housing slump making it even more difficult!

What sort of inspection, testing and certification experience do you have? I believe there is now a cut down version for domestic installers too (2392?). There is usually around a 30% to 40% pass rate for the 2391 written exam, it covers a lot of theory and is closed book! The scenario can be anything too, one not so long back was a TN-CS and a caravan site. The one I did was an industrial unit. If you send me an email (addy in profile) I will see what I can dig out.
As with any job, the more relevent qualifications you have the more employable you will be.

A cut down version of this exam would very interesting to me and something I have never heard of! Before applying for this exam I would be sure in myself I was ready, I don't like to waste my hard earned cash.
If a spark is very clever, he is employable but ironically a smart spark would be more likely to have his own business!
Are you a West Cumbrian Spark123 (maybe a Sellafield man)?

Almost, South Copeland.
Have run the financial side of a business before, albeit not an electrical one. I found it hard work for no gain and like banging your had against a brick wall. Easier working for someone else.

Yeah, Cumbria is a nice place to live but you can't eat a view or pay bills with it!
