hi all,

Have the c plan system at home, pumped rads and gravity dhw with zone valve / cylinder sta to stop hot water getting too hot when rads on for long periods of time eg winter.
Boiler is ideal Mexico 2 floor standing gas.

Looking at upgrading the control system to the bg hive unit that has both heating and dhw channels.

If it will work could you please point me in the right direction re wiring the hive into the diagram shown.

Regards
John

Why Hive? It's not going to save you any money. Think about updating the system to S plan or easier Y plan first. The Mexico is a great boiler but your setup won't have any benefit by fitting Hive. It's easily done to a C plan however if you want it.

Install as per the existing timer then put the reciever into gravity mode. All in the instruction book which comes with it.

Disconnect the room stat and put a link between 4 and 5 in the 10 way box.
The Hive will not need setting to gravity if the system is wired as in the diagram.

It doesn't "need" to be but I would just to give the correct indicator on the reciever (hot water is always on with heating).

On a C plan the zone valve is on the hot water circuit.

So you can have heating on only.
