Hi Everyone

My lighting circuit is run on 1.5mm twin core and earth. However, I want to run 5 12v 50W spotlights (with transformers off JBs) in 1.0mm. Is it ok to do this or should I use 1.5mm?

Thanks

1mm² will be fine on a 6A breaker, and will be fine for the load of these lights.

Just to be squeaky clean you should document the fact that you've put 1mm² in the circuit in case some future occupant decides to up the rating of the MCB on the basis of the existing 1.5mm² that he can see at the CU....
