Nope, part p doesnt mention or make any reference to notification.

Thats a completely separate issue.

Thats a completely separate issue.

I didn't say it did.

But, yes it does, as it will define notifiable and non notifiable works and no it isn't a seperate issue.

If you haven't notified , you haven't forfilled compliance.

Someone can't tell his Part P from his Building Regs.

Now, where did I put that popcorn

Notification?

You forgot that part.

Compliance with Part P also involved notification.
I can't see anything about notification in this text:

Can you point it out to me?

I see no definition here of notifiable and non-notifiable work:

Can you point it out to me?

If Part P doesn't mention notification, then surely it must be a separate issue?

If you make reasonable provision in the design and installation of electrical installations in order to protect persons operating, maintaining or altering the installations from fire or injury but don't notify, which part of a requirement to make reasonable provision in the design and installation of electrical installations in order to protect persons operating, maintaining or altering the installations from fire or injury have you not complied with?

Oh FFS bas, will you give it up. I've already told you. And why the heck you even brought up Part P is beyond sense.

Oops, correct. That should be can't tell his Part P from his Schedule 4.

You've already told me what?

This?

Notification?

That's just flat-out wrong, and shows that you're arguing about something you don't understand.

Nobody agrees with you, more than one of us is telling you that you are wrong, and you have, not surprisingly, failed to show us where Part P talks about notification.

And why the heck you even brought up Part P is beyond sense.
I didn't - you did.

Ban Part P

And you are still doing it with each and every post.

With every post you make you tell the world that you don't think there should be a law requiring safe electrical installations in people's homes.

No, I didn't, YOU did.

You are quoting a signature, not a post I made.

Stop shoving your tripe down everyones throats.

Be it a signature or a post, at the time you were saying that Part P should be banned.

Stop shoving your tripe down everyones throats.
What tripe?

You were the one expressing the desire to do away with a law requiring electrical design and installation work in people's homes to be reasonably safe, and I can't think of any reason why anybody would want that other than that they would like to be able to get away with unsafe work.

You were the one who kept on saying that Part P required notification, despite the fact that it clearly says nothing of the sort.

So I'm not sure why you think I'm the one writing tripe.

Bloody hell Bas. You and your quoting.

I award you the boring anally retentive award.

I say again, it were in a signature, I never expressed anything, yet as usual, you get anally rententive and shove your crap down everyones throats.

Everyone knows about notification apart from you.

Chri5's signature says...

'Please note compliance for Part P, LABC and 17 Edition.'

Are you going to get anally retentive, repetive and boring over him?

If you carry on, you're going on ignore, as you are boring and disruptive - the very reason you were BANNED from Screwfix forums. And to get banned from Screwfix is not easy.
