And again I re-enforce the fact I mentioned isolators.
Many here seem to want the cheapest option and are advised so. I have not endorsed just connecting but to use an isolator of a certain type. For the cost of a new camera just fit another and forget the rest off this conversation. Cheap external domes are under £30 and probably fine for this situation. I for one love opto isolators.
