Hi,

We have recently moved house and now getting to know our Camray 5 boiler. I have replaced the old thermostat / controller setup with a Nest Heatlink and that is behaving as expected. The call for heat on either CH or HW fires the boiler and when turned off the boiler stops firing.

However, intermittently the lower orange light on the boiler remains lit (the power icon) and whilst not firing the boiler is still active with something still running (perhaps a pump?), apparently indefinitely.

If I then action a call for heat and turn off again the light goes out and the boiler is silent. On other occasions the boiler turns off completely as expected.

We have just had to have a new unvented cylinder professionally fitted so new 2 way valve for HW and I took opportunity to also replace HW valve.

There is a separate underfloor circuit, but that is set to a frost setting on an independent stat so shouldn’t be factoring in to this.

Any help very gratefully received!

Thank you.

Could it be that there’s still a demand but just in standby mode?

Thanks for your reply. If a standby mode. Is that normal for the boiler? It occurred to me that this might be a cooling mode post burner.
