Can a TRV be fitted upside down?

I'm going to fit a designer rad to a narrow wall to the side of french doors, the rad is just narrower than the wall and I'd like to put angled valves out of the bottom of the rad with the TRV pointing straight down and not sticking out of the side.
Will it adversley affect the operation of the TRV?

I don't see why not as long as you leave enough clearance under the valve to allow air to circulate and to be able to turn it.

Might be worth phoning or emailing the TRV manufacturer and asking their advice.
