Even SE London covers a very wide area. It would help if you named the exact area!

Also say what you want to be done as many people specialise!

Your defination of being ripped off may differ from others. A fellow in Twickenham asked me to come and look at his Netaheat boiler and when I told him our fixed price diagnostic fee was £84 he told me to "forget it" in no uncertain terms! Hopefully he will called someone charging £40 per hour who took three hours!

Tony

There you go you see Tony rips everyone off equally!
Suggest you try the corgi website for a local heating bod.

Well i live in the lewisham area and need someone look at my heating system as I am not getting heating through out the whole flat. i think system needs balancing as well new valves or thermostats on four rads. I hope someone can recommend someone crdible as one thing that riles me more is someone trying to take the mick with me. Honesty is what I value.

Hello this is my first time using this site and still have no response to my questions posed.

As you say this is your first post, how, in the same sentence, of the same post, state that you still have had no response

Ahh quite the contry I posted a response prior to this one which has had no reply hence me saying my first time on the this site meaning "I am new" Anyhow if you have information which can help my question then great if not in life its not god to try to find fault in others to make yourself look smart. If you can t offer any positive constructive advice then maybe you shouldnt offer any advice at all.

Far from it, if you come on here instantly complaining that no one has responded to that actual post, then why should anyone bother to answer you with that attitude.

It's up to us to decide who we deem is worth responding to and helping for free and your post is just outright having a go at those on here who give up their free time to help those in genuine need.

Perhaps another forum could be better suited to your needs.

Dave i wont get into a ping pong match with you but to anyone else reading this. I have no attitude and wasn't complaining it was merely a call for someone to help to which I had some response so obviously worked. Everyone who has replied has been curtesy in their response and offered what information they had. You on the other hand have come across totally condescending and inappropriate. A reminder to what you said below

2As you say this is your first post, how, in the same sentence, of the same post, state that you still have had no response"

A very unnecessary point made by yourself which actually made no bearing on helping me at all.

Your response was even worse again highlighted below.

"helping for free and your post is just outright having a go at those on here who give up their free time to help those in genuine need."

In answer to your genuine need I have no heating in my 3 year olds room my partner is not well due to the cold. We cant wash our clothes and we have just moved.

Also why did you have to mention Money "helping for free" if a man is lyng down injured in the street and your going to a job would you walk on by and say if I stop to help him I am going to loose Money. I believe in helping anyone who needs it.

But hey I guess that just the way I see things.

Anyhow if anyone can offer some help on my issue I would throughly appreciate it. I will in turn answer as many question in my area or expertise to help others on this site for "Free"

Thats as maybe in hindsight, but how is one supposed to know there was a previous post when he stated clearly that 'this is the first time I've used this site  ?

To me that says it is someones first post and I took it (in this case inaccurately) that he was complaining that one of us hadn't jumped to his request straight away.

To reply to the OPs point about helping someone in the street, no I wouldn't want paying, but other than calling an ambulance and making sure the injured/ill party could not be 'run over' or the like I would do nothing, as if you aid someone then they die or get worse it is the helper who will get sued

My daughter is fully trained as a first aider, but before she is able to help she has to ask the injured person if she has their permission to help as a first aider before she is allowed to save their life

Thats the trouble with this useless country now following the USA in all their pathetic legal practices.
