Hi

Finally my boiler has died and i have been without hot water for over a week. I want to buy an A rated boiler than is small enough to fit in a kitchen cupboard so i can hide it on the wall.

Anyone got any recommendations on the boiler and the cheapest place to buy one would be great!!!

i Have no idea what so ever, but would it not be a good idea as you want to put it in the same cupboard to state make / model of current boiler, that way those who know will know its dimensions etc

If you really just want the cheapest then the Heatline will probably suit that requirement.

The cheapest is not always the best though!

Even more important than the make is the installation and particularly cleaning the system by power flushing.

I would also say that smallest is not often best as they can be a nightmare to change parts on.

If you want quality that will last, have a look at Atag or Viessmann. The atags are little bigger than most, but they are a dream to work on - hinged out pcb and connections (has anyone else here wired up a keston c25??), good access to pump, etc. The viessmann 100 is smaller, but I haven't worked on one yet so can't comment on the pros/cons of it.

They have been given a not so rosy review by those who have installed them. Look on either this forum or screwfix.
