Can I fit a pump to the domestic hot water system?

In my old house there was a separate pump on the DHW system that ensured hot water was available as soon as a tap was opened. I've moved house to a recently converted barn. It's been built to a high standard but it's a large house and it takes ages to get any hot water from the taps.

Can I fit a pump retrospectively or does it require major surgery to the plumbing? There is an OSO hot water cylinder in the airing cupboard on the first floor.

Thanks

But they do have a secondary return connection. This is what Snowsride needs to utilise.

EDIT: Just checked an install manual I have and you can fit a circulation pump on the secondary circuit, with an NRV. :)
