Hi, if I twist off the tap and hold the nut at the bottom to loosen the tap from the sinkp,
then use a couple of spanners or wrenches to remove the other compression fitting end of the tails,
then just pull the tails through the hole in the sink will that work?

Then do the opposite to fit the new tap.

Thanks

They sell basin wrenches for under a tenner at Screwfix and most likely any other hardware store near you (b&q/B&M/wilco etc.)

Getting the taps off is one thing, putting the new ones in so they do not turn around at a later date is another.

Thanks, it's not the cost, but I am short on time at the moment even to buy one.

You can get a half decent tightness from positioning the tap approx 90 degrees away from the finished position tighten up the back nut, hold the back nut with one hand and move the tap clockwise to the final position with the other.

Yess, but watch out for the jet of water because you have forgotten to isolate the supply.

Blup

Surely you'd need to move the tap clockwise to tighten it up?
