I have a large approx 5mtr sqare room with pine floorboards .
the oak boards will be 200mm wide and about 2.4 mtr long

what is the recommended method of laying and would it be feasable to lay them floating?

thanks

Mike

200mm wide Solid Oak floorboards? That's wide! They must be at least 20mm thick, preferably thicker.
You have to leave - no matter which installation method you use - at least 18mm expansion gap all around the perimeter of the new floor, including doorpost, fireplaces etc.

Read this too to prevent other problems.
