I would like to have the ceramic tiles in the kitchen but just discovered that the floor is wooden and covert with hardboard(?). Can I put the tiles on it or do I need to put the plywood first?
I think you would have to rip up the hardwood and then you can go on the floorboards (if it is boards) with something like BAL Fastflex or lay ply down (minimum BS is 15mm) then you can go on it with any adhesive manufacturers standard adhesive with an ad-mixture.
Many thanks guys. I did found some info about special castellated matting materials. Can I use this straight onto wooden flor and then put the flexible adhesive and tiles? Can I put the flexible adhisive stright on the wooden floor boards?
