Can I remove fireplace but keep back boiler?

We are happy with our back boiler but really want to get rid of the ugly obtrusive fireplace in the lounge... is this possible?

You can get rid of the Fire place BUT not the fire front, THE BBU and FIRE are looked upon as being one unit,

I'd agree with Comp. although the bbu may need moving back to keep the fire back to the finished wall.
