Can it all go wrong - volkera 24/28

Today I was quoted for a new thermostat, air pressure part and circuit board for my volkera 24/28 (5yrs old) Can all these things go wrong and need changed?? Ps quote including labour was £550...

As it turns out now they just went ahead and did the work! It is plausible that all these three things would need changed all at once? Sounds suspect?

We are all amazed how you can be quoted £550 labour when that would most of a week's work.

Thats apart from changing so many parts!

A British Gas or Vokera fixed price repair would have been less than £300.

How does this seriously overpriced work proceed without your approval?

I would suspect its a rented property and an Agent receiving a backhanded from the repair firm?

Only part of the work I agreed to as my tenants were on my case. I didn't agree to the PCB...

Perhaps your tenants are getting the backhander from the repair firm?

I have been asked to do that before!

You have been seriously ripped off it would not have needed all these components unless it had been on fire
