I was more referring to testing cable before an upgrade to a cu with rcd's using a brand new chinese insulation tester. Unfortunately going for one of their test boxes that does the lot up's the price as does a combined low ohm and insulation tester. Fully testing an RCD gets expensive. An electricians multitester makes more sense if some one wants to be able to do the lot including that.
Can this CU be modernised?
