We're wanting to add an additional ceiling light in the dining room. When changing the light switches in the hall to a style we preferred the electrician discovered that the power for the dining room light switch was s feed through from the hall light switch. Does this affect us having a second light fitting in the dining room?
We would want it to be operated from the existing switch with two lights operating together off the one dimmer switch.
Thank you

You'll need to run a cable from the existing light to the second light, if that's possible then you should be able to add one without much issue.

Thanks yes that'll be doable. Not got carpets down upstairs!!! Just worried it'd be a no as the switch is sharing power with another switch. Thank you.
Not us doing it of course but thought get an idea before hand.
