As The Never-ending List Of Jobs To Do In This Hell Hole Gets Bigger
We Have This One:

From The Front Door Through The Hall And Up The Stairs And All Of The Landing
Has Been Stripped Of Wallpaper. And We Are Left With Bare Plaster
Most Of The Walls Seem Pretty Sound, With Very Little Damage Or Cracks
Apart From One.. Now, This Wall Is Strange As The Top Half Is Solid
The Lower Half Is Plasterboard ( See Pic ) And We Don't Know If This Is Supporting Or Not.
Also It Has A Huge Section That Isn't Plastered Which Again, We Cant Understand.
The Top Half Which Is Solid Is Crumbling, So Much As Drill A Hole And Suddenly The Wall Isn't There Anymore. Top Corner Were This Wall Meets Another Plaster Wall The Solid Wall Is Very Badly Damaged ( See Pic )
And So I'm Worried If I'd Be Better Off Finding Out Of This Wall Is Supporting
Then Knocking It Down If Its Not A Supporting
Then Rebuilding From Studs And Board.

Please See The Pics And Let Me Know Whats Best As Its Driving Me Up The Wall. ( Excuse The Pun )

as for plastering yes you can it hack out the cracks pva then fill with bonding same for the holes take off the hand rail
id maybe use wba / BONDIT over the lot the night before skiming
were the wall meets the plaster board if there is crack id use skrim over the crack
clean all the walls down first
if your using PVA id use a 4:1 mix too kill the dust and controll the suction
id it was me id use board finish on it creamy mix not soo grainy sets quicker
BUT if your plastering it use muilti finish
were you based
is it a cancell house looks the same lay out as one iv worked on
but as you walk in the frunt door you turned left not right

I am based in Rhondda,Mid Glamorgan, South Wales

No, its a private house, built in 1903
a terrace of five small houses built by Network Rail
as houses for employees as we live on a train station essentially.
all houses have since been extended to give more space.

i don't mean to be a pain, but I'm new to all of this. Computers are my thing lol.

would you be able to sort of step by step through what you suggested?
like:

1.
2.

and so on.. so i can understand how things work a little better.
as i want to have some idea of what I'm doing/talking about before i call in any builders.. because I've learnt the hard way in the past, not doing any research, ended up with £3000 spent and no kitchen delivered
turned out the companys boss wwasn'teven allowed to trade. and had been raided by 50 police before fleeing.

get 3 quotes in from plasterers mate not builders
1brush off the walls/lids
2 hack out and fill cracks with bonding
3 pva walls
4 start plastering
take off the hand rail first
scrim were the plaster board meets the soild wall
as for the pva mix 4:1 wil be fine
when the plaster is dry mist coat it with a 50/50 mix of white mat paint and water 2 coats let it dry over night then paint with your finish paint NOT SILK
2 easy days work skimming it
