Hiya :)

My elderly mum lives in a council flat, next week the council are moving the boiler from the kitchen to her small pokey bedroom (apparently all the flats are having it changed). can you have a boiler in a bedroom? and if so should it be boxed in?

thankyou for any replies in advance. :D

It doesn't have to be boxed in, but even the best ones (doubt the council will be fitting these though) are noisy.

I disagree, vaillant ecotec and worcester greenstars are far from noisy.

All of them are noisy enough to keep me awake, if the bedroom is the only place it can go she should insist they box it in.

HI

i think new vaiilant boilers are suitable for bedrooms they are extremely quiet.

I have a baxi duo tec in a bedroom cupboard. I forget it's in there to be honest.

WE soon moved our Combi out of the bedroom into the kitchen. I dont know what made us fit it in the bedroom in the first place. :!: :!:

Also think of the distance the hot water has to run to the kitchen..
