Just a quick question please.

Is it possible to have an unvented cylinder in a garage? The garage will be to the side of my house but NOT attached. Do BRegs allow this and if they do how would I run any pipework across the 1metre gap between the house and the garage?

Many thanks

The answer to your question is YES
however don't forget to consider FROST PROTECTION!!!

Thanks boilerman. The proposed garage is yet to be built so how would I run the pipework across the 1m access path between the house and garage? Could the pipework be buried in the ground?

Thanks

Could anybody tell me how the pipework would run from the detached garage to the house across a 1m gap?

Thanks

Thanks.

Does this cause any sort of maintenance issues? ie would you ever need to get to these pipes?

Also I take it I can't have the boiler in the garage (due to gas supply?), so is there a maximum distance you can have between a boiler and an unvented cylinder?

Thanks again

If your having a garage built just have your gas supply moved to there.

I think there are certain regs regarding protecting the cylinder/ meter from you prowling your car into into it

Oh I see. I just presumed that regs would mean I can't have a gas supply in a building that is not attached to my house
