Can you separate 2 pieces of granite stuck on top of each other?

Hello,

Got a mantle piece made of granite. 2 pieces, 1 slighly shorter and both stuck together with epoxy glue.

I want to reuse it as a window sill but that requires separation. Any idea if its possible, and if so best way to do it?

Diamond grinder blade first to separate , then overlap the two pieces at the desired cutting point, cut again carefully and epoxy glue the resultant pieces together.

Try rubbing alcohol on the joint. It should dissolve epoxy, but it does depend on the exact compound. If it works I would let it soak for a few weeks and see what happens.
