Canoe filter

I have heard in the merchants talk of a a canoe filter. is this just the
mesh filter on the return?

Just to clarify it wasn't me that racked up a huge bill in the merchants. The story was a contractor replaced most of the boiler before discovering the canoe filter

Filter is behind water pressure sensor on the bottom left hand side (flow) unless of course the boiler is a later model whereby sensor has been relocated to return pipe into hex whereby filter position remains unchanged.
Rare to have a blocked filter as usually the hoses are choked.
