Perhaps not the best place to ask however I'm looking to source a capacitor for a Frister Rossmann domestic sewing machine.

The foot pedal control appears to be faulty as the machine races when switched on and cannot be controlled by the pedal.

I've been told the capacitor in the pedal is probably the cause, hence I need to find one.

0.1uF @ 250v
Type S-1
HPF
6.00WV

Its a cylindrical shape, about 10mm in diameter and a wire at either end.

Anyone know where I might source one in the UK please?

Thanks for the leads folks - much appreciated.

I may replace the little black variable resistance discs in the sliding switch as well.

Where might I might be able to get them from?

Soory, you're right.
Its a pity spanner man didn't think that your link of "spares" might be of assistance!

I've sourced a power vendor on ebay who can supply the capacitor.

The carbon discs I'm looking for aren't available.

Thanks for all leads above folks.
