Just been to look at a relatives sewing machine that was working fine until yesterday, The machine is a "Singer 201k (motor and gears)" After plugging machine in the light works fine, however when pressing the foot controll (pedal) nothing at all happens. Is this a fault on foot pedal or motor? Is there a way of testing he motor without the pedal? The wiring seems ok, as power is going to machine,with the light working. Opened up foot pedal and everything seems fine. What could this problme be? and will it need a new part?
